Deep Tissue Laser

There is a relatively new medical treatment called Deep Tissue Laser Therapy and it has had very successful results of decreased pain, weakness and numbness in patients who are affected by chronic, severe pain, radiculopathy (numbness, tingling and pain that radiates in the hands, arms, feet, or legs).

This Deep Tissue Laser is not like the typical medical laser that you would think of. Most of the lasers that you will hear about are called hot lasers. They are used for procedures that involve removing or cutting tissues from the body. The word "Deep Tissue" in Deep Tissue Laser means that there is no heat involved to cut or hurt the tissue however it gently stimulates the nerve cells to repair the damage. To understand it better think of how plants use UV sunlight to function, repair and make new cells. A Deep Tissue Laser is kind of like the UV sunlight for plants.

Studies have shown that the Deep Tissue Laser decreased nerve inflammation as well as nerve pain and increased muscle strength while the pain decreased. The human nerve cell will respond to a visible wavelength of light that is in the red visible spectrum at 630 nm and it has been researched and recorded as well as approved by the FDA to lower nerve pain.

We will use two different types of Deep Tissue lasers that have been created by the leaders in Deep Tissue laser research and development to attain the most successful reduction of pain in the shortest amount of time.

The majority of patients that suffer with herniated, degenerated or bulging discs that cause back, neck, arm or leg pain as well as numbness also suffer from nerve irritation or nerve damage which will leave the muscles weak. While decompression alone may not return a nerve to better function, Deep Tissue Laser does have a better chance for the patient to make a full and complete recovery.

To get started you need to contact our office at (973) 539-3311 and schedule the initial consultation with the Doctor who will determine your situation. It will be determined if you qualify for deep tissue laser treatment by the Medical Evaluation and Diagnostic testing procedures that are preformed and then the Doctor will decide if they will accept your case for this treatment. If it is determined that you are a good candidate for the deep tissue laser treatment and the Doctor chooses to accept your case for the treatments as well as answering any questions you may have, you may then begin your care.
